DJ - Part Time ($500-$900/night)

Levity is expanding our DJ team! We are a diverse group of professional wedding DJs and the great part about this job, is *anyone* can learn the sound equipment - our biggest qualifications are reliability and energy.

Job Duties

• Working 8-12 hours per gig (including drive time and loading)
• Communicating and meeting with clients face to face 1-2 weeks before their event
• Checking out and checking in sound/lighting equipment from our warehouse before and after each event
• Setting up/breaking down sound/lighting equipment
• Preparing set lists
• Taking good requests or promising bad requesters "It's coming up soon!" until they leave you alone
• Making announcements, introductions, running games/activities and generally "working the crowd".
• Dealing with the occasional "mean drunk"
• Dealing with the more common "fun drunk"

Requirements

• RELIABLE (strong work history)
• STRONG communication skills
• Willing and able to work seasonally on Saturdays (some Fridays/Sundays too)
• 60% of our work happens on just 22 Saturdays each year - if you're not able or willing to work when events are happening, please hold off on submitting your application until your availability changes
• Willing and able to train Tuesday/Thursday evenings and Saturdays
• Pass a background check
• Be 18 years old or older
• Able to lift 30lb+ speakers on to speaker stands
• No experience necessary - will train the right person
• Fun and energetic personality
• Ability to learn new software programs
• Reliable and insured transportation to haul equipment 
• (We can fit our entire sound system in the back of a Ford Fiesta)
• Totally *not* a serial killer.
