DJ - Part Time

KC Mobile DJ is seeking part time DJs available for weekend weddings, dances and more. We are a diverse group of industry professionals with decades of experience.  The great part about this job, is *anyone* can learn the sound equipment - the hard part is you need to be an outgoing and uninhibited individual with experience in leading and speaking in front of large groups.

• 10% Total contract bonus for referrals/bringing business to us.  EX: They book $2,500 worth of products and services with us, you receive an additional $250 on top of your DJ pay.

• Company provided equipment to perform (You need to provide your own transportation, pants and shoes - sometimes formal wear for which cases you will be paid extra)

Job Duties

• Working 8-12 hours per gig
• Communicating with clients 1-2 weeks before their event
• Checking out and checking in sound/lighting equipment from our Liberty location before and after each event
• Setting up/breaking down sound/lighting equipment
• Preparing song lists
• Taking requests
• Making announcements, introductions, running games/activities and generally "working the crowd".
• Dealing with the occasional "mean drunk"
• Dealing with the more common "fun drunk"

Requirements

• Must be reliable and have strong communication skills - people lacking these skills have been our biggest hurdle.
• Pass a background check
• Be 18 years old or older
• Able to lift 30lb+ speakers approximately 6ft in the air
• No experience necessary - will train the right person
• Fun and/or funny personality
• Ability to learn new software programs
• Have regular weekend and evening availability
• Reliable and insured transportation to haul equipment (We can fit our entire sound system in the back of a Ford Fiesta)
• Totally *not* a serial killer.
